End of the purple sprouting broccoli season and there's just a few straggly skinny bits left, too good to waste but not very succulent
. I picked a large handful, steamed for a few mins til just tender, cooled, dried on kitchen roll then tossed in a vinaigrette dressing with a twist of salt. Really scrummy, like samphire - I grew up in Norfolk and we used to go to Holkham to pick samphire from the beach
