How long is it normal for a goat to 'ooze'after kidding?
« on: April 19, 2016, 05:57:34 pm »

A little concerned that my girl is still oozing after 4 weeks post kidding.

Only a little and it doesn't seem to smell and she seems fine in herself. Eating and drinking happily. Kids doing well so milk must be ok.

She doesn't get outside as much as I would like ( thats another story) but I try to get them out for an hour each day in the paddock if the weather is ok. So maybe not as much exercise as some.

Should i be concerned?

It's normally about 2 weeks I think, but I'm sure someone will come along and contradict me soon.
If she's well and there's no smell I wouldn't worry too much just keep an eye on her.
