Cloudburst or not?
« on: March 16, 2016, 04:42:43 pm »
Hi my boer female was AI'd in October but failed to hold the pregnanancy.  (I had her scanned).  Today which would be approximately when she would be due I noticed her tail had blood on the underside.  I have washed her so I can be sure where it is coming from.  Abit confused as could it be a cloudburst or something else?

She was put with the buck at the beginning of February this year which is what is confusing me.  Any ideas?
She seems absolutely fine eating as usual.

If she's not ill at all I think I'd just watch and wait.

A cow will sometimes have blood on its tail a day or so after being in season.....no idea if goats are the same

If she was cloudbursting she would have developed an udder and also quite a big belly, so unlikely.
