Got a new spot for the pigs. Are pines/ firs in any way toxic to them?

When I had pigs part of their paddock included woodland mainly sitka / spruce and some mixed broadleaf , never came to any harm , they dug around some of the roots , but that's what they do ,during the hot (ish) summers day (we had once here in Aberdeenshire   :-J ) they would night out under the trees and would have to be called for feed time, kept them occupied.

My sheep and donkeys love the clippings from conifers, and old Christmas trees are eaten with relish. So I can't see that they would be harmful to pigs.

My old spots live in a christmas tree plantation and have never had a problem and ignore the trees.

Thankyou very much for the replies. I am moving jobs and house and the pigs, sheep etc are coming with me. They will be going into a few acres of pines.
