Getting a bit desperate - I am looking to buy or lease a proven BT billy for my 5 girls. At the moment we're living in Caithness but hopefully moving nearer to Inverness next month. Willing to travel a reasonable distance.
Anyone know of anything?

Only ones I know of are the Guilden BT's (Dundee) - they will have a male, but not sure if he would be available on loan. Have you tried Clydesdaleclopper or Mays on here?

Also, if you are on goatyfriends on facebook, someone maybe nearer you? There is someone in Perthshire, but she has pure Toggs, and not sure if she still has a male.

I have just sold my BT boy to Talana
Our holding has Anglo Nubian and British Toggenburg goats, Gotland sheep, Franconian Geese, Blue Swedish ducks, a whole load of mongrel hens and two semi-feral children.

Hi, Euan Fraser, Inverness has a BT male, there used to be a couple of BT breeders in caithness recently dispersed but some of their stock may still be in the area. I have a pure togg male and clydesdalecloppers BT male kid here in Dunecht Aberdeenshire, boarding available.
There is 2 pure toggs males at stud in perthshire boarding available. Also dundee breeders. There is also BT males  on the Isle of Skye. I can try and get you details if interested the ones in Skye may loan out as they have a few of them hopefully I still have their address.

Excellent news - I'm missing him rather a lot as he's such a cuddle bug  :goat:

Did Diane meikle send her boy to the Isle of skye? If they have Scotsburn Polomint I would be interested as I used him before and he threw a couple of lovely kids. Would be grateful for any contact details if you have them Talana
