We have some Free Range Bronze and Black Turkeys still available to order for Christmas. We keep 3 different strains which means we have mature birds oven-ready weighing from 8lbs to 20 lbs.
The Turkey Poults are hatched in May which means they have time to develop slowly, giving a better flavour and texture to the meat. The Turkeys are free ranged in a 6 acre paddock throughout the year. They are fed on locally sourced grains and are currently being finished on Maize bought from our neighbour.
Our birds are dry plucked and hung for several days. Due to their slow growth the meat to bone ratio is high meaning you'll get a lot more meat from our Turkeys compared to ones hatched later and force fed.
