It just didn't happen as expected so I'd have a half bag of chick crumbs (10kg) to swap for anything else I can feed the grown-ups, even wild bird seed would do.

I'm too far away, but just thought I'd say, you could feed it to the adult birds... If it's just half a sack, I'd mix it up with normal feed and not worry too much that it's got an bit higher protein. After all, most of the infgredients are the same.

Just a thought....I was advised by my feed merchant, that I shouldn't eat the eggs from an ex-broody who was still eating chick crumbs as they are medicated... $:-\$
