collars or head halters for showing?

Which do you prefer?

Standard webbed dog collars (with quick-release clips) while at home and not in show ring, Then thin light brown leather collars for the show ring, but to be removed as soon as coming out from show ring, as they will otherwise chew it.

For adult males - thick collar all the time, some people prefer headhalter, but I haven't tried mine on them.
