Pygmys stopped eating grass
« on: May 07, 2015, 05:20:57 pm »
Hello. My two goats used to walk around the garden all day constantly eating grass and now they don't even touch the stuff and instead just lay down all day haha. I was wondering if it's anything to be worried about. The only thing I can think of is its because I put evergreen grass food and greener down on the lawn. I've also noticed there poop has changed.. Before it used to be black balls in a clump or more often lots of little balls scattered but now just brown balls?

Thanks.

Hi !I would check what's in the stuff you put on the grass it may make the grass not very palatable for some reason ? Goats are browsers and if eating grass they prefer something with interesting bits in it not just plain old lawn grass. Can't help further because it depends entirely on what you have growing there .
