strange chicken behavior

By this I mean a chicken behaving strangely not a strange chicken behaving!
My Light Sussex hen Minstrel is behaving in a rather odd manner. She has been off lay and today I have observed her sitting in a nest box, then she came out, then went back in and scratched about in the nest box, then out then up the ladder, quick scrat about - down ladder, up ladder quick scrat and down ladder, half an hour now of this behavior!
I wondered if she might be broody but have never observed this with other broody hens.
Any ideas please?

I would say either thinking about becoming broody or maybe egg bound?
