Rosemary you have made me feel bad. I am English (although living in Wales) and didn't even know it was St Georges day  :-[

Never mind that. Today should be the day that my friend rings me to tell me that his goat has had two female kids.  They will be ours  :excited:

Yes, Happy St Georges Day to you all.

You're right Bionic, we are/were English. I had no idea it was St Georges day. It was never even mentioned in England. I used to teach and it was never talked about in school even.

Very different here in Wales. My children have been here since they were little and know all about St David and celebrations in all the local schools.

For too long being proud to be English has been portrayed as a bad thing, mainly in the media and driven by the bad behaviour of a minority. It has been subsumed into being British, which is purely a political union like the EU.

Yay! Go, St George!

Well that was truly a fantastic St Georges day, Two of my friends had great news, one has been Cancer clear for the last 12 months, and the other had come compensation after being blown up in Afghanistan, that will make life a lot easier for him…
