Hello from Mid Wales ...
« on: April 10, 2015, 12:21:47 pm »
Hello Folks I'm Jill or Shep.

I've moved to mid-Wales from my narrowboat in Coventry with my beloved Norwegian Forest cat, Viola.  I've finally given up teaching teenagers after a year of being the supply head of a dysfunctional core department in a failing school. I thought I might be a wiser, saner if poorer person if I did. And I was right! I now teach folk fibre and fabric skills, cook for every one and have time to listen and talk. It's great although I still can't quite get rid of the sense that I should be doing marking ….

Hello and welcome from Carmarthenshire  . It sounds as if you have made the right move but living on the narrow boat must have been interesting.

 Jill. We met last year at Wrekin Spinners when you taught us how to blend on a drum carder. I was the one struggling to spin but managed a bobbin full of my blended wool. I'm still spinning but now using a double treadle which I find much easier.

Wriggly!   :-*  ;D   (It's castlemilk in case you hadn't guessed!)
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

Hello from another down in Carmarthenshire  . As I once lived on a sailing boat with my German shepherd dog in Brighton, I'm wondering if you're getting used to all the space out here.

Just off to google Norwegian forest cat...
