too late for the feed merchants, but I've realised my other newish goaty mums don't want to donate much milk for their new triplet cousins, I suppose their own are getting quite demanding.
I have some shepherdess mik from last summer, original pack opened but remainder put in a sealed container, would this be OK to use to bulk out the bit I'm getting? (ie 50/50)

We' ve used leftover last years milk powder in the past for lambs no problems use common sense that it looks and smells ok

What's the use by date.
If it's been kept sealed, dark and cool there shouldn't be any reason not to. The vitamins might not be as good but with real milk that wouldn't matter too much either.

Should be fine if kept properly.

However I cannot remember if you are supposed to mix milk powder milk with the real stuff. Never had to do it, but hopefully someone else will know... sorry it's late.

I've used a mixture for bottle lambs with no problem. Just mix the artificial to the correct strength but introduce very gradually.

I had one lamb that scoured badly and he ended up on just goats milk and the rest had a mixture. The first mixed bottle I gave them, he made a face like I was trying to poison him.

Never did tolerate it.
