Who saw last nights Countryfile?
« on: March 02, 2015, 09:13:14 am »
They were cooking cawl in the local pub for St David's day. The pub owner also lives on the local farm. She was preparing the soup on a table in the pub and all the ingredients were sitting side by side. All veggies and some ham. She told the presenter to top and tail the carrots and put the waste into a bin at the side of the table for the pigs. Isn't this illegal?

I missed that bit Sally but, yes, it's against the law to feed any scraps which come out of the kitchen to pigs, in case of contamination.

Keep up Countryfile.  ;D

Linda

Don't wrestle with pigs, they will love it and you will just get all muddy.

Let go of who you are and become who you are meant to be.

They really need to fess up to their ignorance and make a statement on the very next programme clearing this up. Very poor show from the BBC.

I don't understand how the pigs' owner didn't know about that rule.  Mind you, most of the wheelbarrows in the pig yard were pink .....?

Still illegal. The bar is a catering establishment just the same.
