my ewe had a real difficult lambing that resulted in a c section, she is on a course of antibiotics for the fluid build up that resulted to her having to be induced a week early,  she was a lot better yesterday, but today she is real down and is dribbling, she has passed her placenta, she is still eating and drinking...we are having to hand rear her lamb due to it being real weak and her being ill. any idea what it is and what i should do

she sounds really sick... due to having had a c section she shouldnt be bred from again, so as she would be a cull then perhaps if she is getting sicker/worse consider having her put down?

If she is still down and not getting up, place her across a small bale of straw with legs upright a couple of times a day? get her up and often as possible, is she on pain killers as well as the antibiotics?

she wasnt ready when they induced her thats why she wouldent open up for lambing, vet says she should lamb fine next year if left, she walks about fine, we have been milking her and using the milk for the lamb, she stands an moves herself about, put a painkiller in her earlier, gave her an energy boost too...think its just the waiting game now

Only had one C section since weve had sheep - she didn't get in lamb the next year and we gave her to a pet home. Our vet said this was a strong possibility because of internal scarring. Don't know other's experiences though.

we had one c section before on a commerial ewe and the next year she got back in lamb fine and lambed again, see this ewe is the last of line of pedigree sheep out of someone close to me...so really hoping she pulls through, she very special to me

dribbling => calcium deficiency?  A shot of calcium would do no harm, esp if you are still milking her.
