Heifer with calf at foot and a heifer for sale at Dingwall Market tomorrow; registered. From a Mrs MacDonald, Longacres.

Sorry for the short notice but I only found out a wee while ago.

If anypne's going along, I'd be interested to know details / prices.

Now that is annoying, these things always happen when I am away at work, otherwise I would have gone for a look.

The SCBA website suggests that Longacres has 2 cows which match the approx age of the 2 cows on the Dingwall catalogue, 1 grey and white and 1 red and white.

They both look like they are island bred too. If I had known earlier I'd have had the info circulated to all SCBA members  :(

Heifer with male calf at foot sold for £650; the report doesn't say anything about the younger heifer but I've emailed the market. What a bargain  ::)

Bargain indeed.
I wonder who bought them.  I met Paddy at Dingwall a few weeks ago who was there making sure that some rare breed cows didn't end up in pies, I wonder if she knew they were being sold.
