planning for mobile sheep shelter on agricultural land?
« on: November 24, 2014, 10:48:33 am »
Hi

I have four acres and want to erect a small (12x12) field shelter for my sheep. It would be fully mobile as I strip graze the field so it needs to be moved once every few months to fit in with this. There would be no services, it wouldn't have a floor and would be towable by skids. Does anyone know if this requires planning? The last I heard mobile did not? I'm in Scotland :)

Thanks
 :)

You generally only need 'prior notification' for agricultural buildings, not planning. However a structure that doesn't stay in the same place for more than 28 days is exempt anyway. And I don't think the planners are particularly adept at keeping track of the days.

They are not considered  an ' agricultural ' building. We just move them before they get too poached ,works great no mucking out of buildings  Our shetland has one too :horse:
