call ducks
« on: November 12, 2014, 10:17:35 am »
hi
i am looking for some information on call ducks i have been asked to manage them as we have alot and plenty of eggs here at work we have a good size lake and plenty of ducks

now my question is

how much are any of these worth

we have pure white

male and female apricot

some ducks are grey with what looks like a white bib on the front and also black with a white bib at the front

we also have one that i beleive is called a magpie call duck

also would it be worth pairing them up by colours

i am also thinking of selling the hatching eggs if anyone has an idea how much these would bring in for 6 or 12

many thanks

I have seen calls anywhere from £5 each up to £30 each but the higher prices are for show type. When we needed a drake some of the so called calls we went to see where massive compared to ours.
If your planning on selling eggs I would seriously consider splitting into colours as most people want to know what they are going to hatch out.

Sorry forgot about this thread. Our calls are purely pets so we don't split them. If we ever manage to find eggs we will incubate them and keep the ducklings
We have a drake for every 3 ducks here. They also have a few mallard ducks following them around  ::)
