Building Agri Shed on 6.5 acres
« on: October 28, 2014, 05:59:16 pm »
I have purchased some ground totaling 6.5 acres (2.6 Hectors). We are planning on trying to farm some pigs, chicken and the usual.
Currently there isn't any barns or shed on the ground, so we would like to erect some sort of steel shed for storing feed and machinery, and cover for lambing. I understand that the ground doesn't fall under the 5ha rule where i have farming rights, but am not sure what i need to do now. On top of all of this we are within the Brecon Beacons National Parks.
Has anyone got any ideas on the criteria that i need to adhere to?

Thanks

We recently applied for an agri shed 60 x 40ft, we are under the 5 acres so had to apply for full planning, but it's agri so the fee was circa £80 instead of circa £380.

Went through no problem.

Find a good agent.
Have a detailed plan showing a need for every square inch of the shed you want to build.
Prepare to spend a lot of time and money, its more reliable than luck! :fc:
