4 organic free range chooks for £1 ea. :) Now to get building.

Could I enclose a sloe and an elder into their run? This would give them more space.

Yes, bigger the better and they'll enjoy shrubs and any variation.

I free range my chickens, but when they're small, or just one or two I keep them in a run attached to a house, a big run, and I move them every 1/2 days. The grass is very good for egg production, as it increases the omega 3 and the essential fatty acids in the eggs, but it also keeps them very healthy.  Hope this helps
