Want to buy four goats, but they're 200 miles away. Does anyone have a small livestock trailer local to angus area that I could hire please???

If it is goats that are used to being walked/handled you may also be able to transport them in a van - with a rubber mat under some shavings it is easy to clean - I have done it in a hire van a while back, no problems. Put a wee pen inside with hurdles, safe for smaller number of goats and at this time of year also no problems with overheating.

iv also used a (hired) caddy van and small transit van for moving goats from England to Scotland. we put down plastic and woodchips and they travelled fine. the transit van was merely to fit in long horns of a billy goat.  ::)
just don't tell the hirer what you want the van for  :roflanim: :roflanim: :roflanim:

Thanks for this.  ;D
The man said he might have some more in a month, so now that other half has gone from years of "maybe, sometime" to "yes" I'll put more effort into tracking down some suitable animals. Guess Ill put an ad on here...

Boers.
But it's ok... The man phoned me back this evening, has another three in with the billy at the moment that he'll sell  :excited:
Also reckoned they'd go fine in the back of a 4x4 ford truck rather than a separate trailer, so that's good too... Been wanting goats for years! Need to get hay.
