Hello and welcome from Perthshire.
We saw a couple of Shetland cattle on Benbecula last week when we were on holiday.

I have just been on an SCF course on entry level crofting and there were several folk from Lewis there. The place to be obviously!  Good luck with all your plans.
With 1 Angora and now 6 pygmy goats, Jacob & Icelandic sheep, chooks, a cat and my very own Duracell bunny aka BH !

Ooh, wonder whose they are. They're not members of SCBA, I don't think.

you can attend SCF courses without acually joining the organisation I think but they have a facebook page so you can see what course etc are coming up
keeper of goats, sheep, pigs, ducks, chickens, turkeys, dogs, cats, goldfish and children, just don't ask me which is the most work!

I'm pretty sure it was 3 Shetlands  :-\
They were down at Balivanich just opposite the entrance to the riding stables.
