What will I do without Facebook for two days?
« on: September 16, 2014, 11:29:41 pm »
I got fed up of the constant stream of Indy stuff on FB - even from the side I've voted for!  :innocent:  Discussion was causing family um ....   not exactly rifts because we are close and that just wouldn't happen; but umm ....  discomfort maybe is the right word.

Sooooo I decided to take the tab off Chrome so it won't load automatically and I won't be tempted.

Now what will I do with my time?
 - spend more time with my pup? Probably, high time she got some basic training.  :-[ :-[
 - spend more time on here?  Probably not, I pick and choose anyway. :innocent:
 - Spend more time finishing off my friends books that i promised?  Must do as they have to be ready for the 30th!  :fc:
 - spend more time chatting on the phone and texting? Not very likely since family and friends usually contact me on FB and they'll just wait for an answer
 - spend more time watching TV?  Not likely as it's all rubbish anyway.

Maybe I'll just get to bed at a reasonable hour  :innocent:

Goodnight folks xx

Annie, you posted this at 11.29pm so you still didn't go to bed at a reasonable hour  :)

I beat you by a mile ! We are finally moving Monday  :excited:
Because its a chain sale from England they do things  different to Scotland.
They get their money monday, and the plan is we MIGHT have a bacs same day ?
Meanwhile, our new house is wind and water tight but no electric, no shower, one running tap, no heating, hot water.
We shall be Glamping without the glamour  :roflanim:
Dont care, all animals paddocks, shelters, water butts and chucks run is sorted.
The point l was going to make is.............. no phone line either so no internet !!!
No daily Accidental smallholder input, l will go into meltdown  :-\
As you say will have to catch up on the mundane chores l have been putting off.
There is a motor home for sale nearby so we may buy that, only an old one but hey, it will be home !
Best get back to cleaning and packing , glad to go back to work for a rest  :relief:

No end to the excitement  ;D

Dan's taken FB off his phone and the BBC News app - he's using Yahoo and al Jazeera news now.

I'm limiting myself to a look in the morning and at night. But I've so much Festival stuff to do, I have enough to keep me busy.

I'm terrible with FB - I need to delete my account I think! problem is, all my soap wrapping and jewellery making stuff is in the office with the PC... if FB just happens to be on in the background I get distracted very easily from my work. Was much simpler before smart phones and I don't have Dan's strength to delete my app  ;D

Go brambling?

We just came back from a happy hour beating about the bush. What's more, we're now totally minted!  ;D (well, we found a huge patch of wild spearmint, so have brought some back and potted it up - fingers crossed!)

I spend a lot of time on FB as well. Far too much time really. Is there a support group for addicts?

I have to admit to a slight slip up.   :-[ My phone brought up an automatic campaign poster and without thinking i clicked to accept.  :eyelashes:  And somebody noticed and thought i'd been on my page, but i hadn't - got their notification in an email but i have resisted responding.  Now how good is THAT!! :excited:
