Finally getting things sorted:
« on: September 14, 2014, 11:19:25 pm »
Well so far we've been pretty fortunate to get a lot things done on the farm sorted before winter that have needed doing, I've got myself some new breeding stock geese to try & improve our kill weights at Xmas for next year, along with more Indian runners so now we have ideal numbers of ducks & geese with the breeds & male to female ratio I want. ( Provided mr fox & mr badger don't have a field day.) Then we've fixed up all of our sheds & painted them except 1 & I've got myself a cider press although I've yet to try it properly.

Now if I can get a few more bantams, some orpingtons & a brooder & the poultry runs sorted I'll be pretty pleased.  :)

Well done. It's hard work but sounds like it's worth it.

Well it's worth having it back to some of its former glory as my uncle owned it for a while but due to having help off us when we weren't working & having 1 bloke helping him with livestock part-time & my uncle being 70 odd didn't make things easy & the sheds had just fallen into a bit of dis-repair. There's still a lot to do but it's looking good in time for winter - will post pics when I have time x
