What to do with half a hole?
« on: August 31, 2014, 09:54:47 pm »
We have just bought 2.5 acres behind our property which has half of a disused gravel pit on it.  The other half belongs to the parish and was used as a landfill site so no filling it with water.

The pit itself which makes up about half of the acreage is mostly overgrown with brambles, hawthorn, elder and nettles and is home to foxes, rabbits, possibly a badger and occasionly deer.

The rest is mainly level grass but very bumpy and uneven.

We are now wondering what to use the pit for.

Any ideas?
