Daylength for layers
« on: August 29, 2014, 02:19:08 pm »
We've dropped below 14 hours daylight this week so if you're working with natural light only the egg numbers should be starting to drop off, if they haven't already.

I use artificial lighting inside my sheds at night.

It comes on at 6am till 8am then 8pm till 10 giving them 16 hours light and 8 hours darkness.

Well worth doing if you want to keep the egg numbers up.
