Banding , length of time it takes to work?
« on: August 23, 2014, 10:48:35 am »
Hi, I had our kid banded on the 1st of this month but now 23 days later nothing has dropped off. The testes below the band are hard and do not appear to cause any pain when touched. What is the longest it can take to just drop off and when should I call a vet? Many thanks.

With my lambs I remove the last tails and scrotal sacs at 8-10wks after ringing , so I would say relax it will happen

We had our 1st done end of June and it seemed to take ages - I can't remember exactly how long, but it did happen eventually so don't worry. (possibly 4-5 weeks as they have been off a while now and he is still only 9 weeks old)

My boy's took ages before they dropped off. I was expecting two weeks but it was at least twice that.
