Getting back to basics

Hi all, I found this website looking into pig keeping and it seemed the best site of its kind around - and it's English!!

I live in Hertfordshire and have a bit of land in Wiltshire. I grew up on Dartmoor on a 55 acre farm where we kept sheep and cattle, chickens and a plethora of other things including ducks and geese to fruit and veg.

Getting back into small holding again and very interested in some Tamworth pigs. One piece of land I have is just over 3 acres of wild forgotten weed and brash, that has just been annihilated for the first time with a tractor and hedge trimmer allowing people or better still, piglets to roam around! I'll contribute where I can and would value tips and guidance as we go. I am a practical hands on guy, I grow hydroponically and also build so may have some useful input to contribute.  :D

We've had Tammies in the past and loved them - ploughs on legs but more fun
