Milled wheat available, Barry, Angus, for donation
« on: July 22, 2014, 01:04:59 pm »
Our local NTS property, Barry Mill, produces about 3-4 tonne milled wheat each year from its weekend milling demonstrations. The pig farm across the road used to take it but the farmer's gone out of pigs now.

Consequently, the bags of milled wheat are piling up and Peter, the miller, has just asked me if I knew anyone who might want it.

It's in 32kg bags, but it can be rebagged. They pay £180 / tonne for the grain; they're not looking for that for the milled grain but a donation would be welcome.

I assume since the pig farmer used it that it's good for pigs  :)
