Terramycin Spray Question
« on: July 22, 2014, 08:42:29 am »
I sprayed a lambs feet yesterday which has scald (much better today) but noticed when I sprayed it the Terramycin crackled - is this due to infection present or does it always do this when applied to an animal? Thanks.

Sometimes it crackles (bubbles popping I imagine), sometimes it doesn't.  It makes you feel as though 'it must be working', lol, but I've no idea whether the bubble-popping is indicative of anything really.

Nothing I know of - but it is why I don't spray it on castration wounds, de-horning wounds etc as the fizzing often upsets a nice clot and bleeding starts again

Thanks for the replies - it does make it sound like it is working but can understand why may upset a clot. Still intrigued......

Change the spray button bit for a top that s got a little tube running of it, like you ll find ona grease spray can or some purple sprays, I find that this makes it trickle, gentler.
