Lambs or Hoggs wanted, Aberdeenshire.
« on: June 16, 2014, 03:15:33 pm »
We had a lucky lambing this year with four ewe lambs from our  black welsh mountain sheep.  Our flock is getting bigger but it has left me with a problem, as I don’t have any lambs obviously marked for my freezer.

Does anybody have a couple of lambs or hoggs for sale that I can fatten over the summer?  Any breed or cross, chopped or entire would be good as long as they are not fence jumpers, commercial type would be a bonus.

I’m located Methlick, Aberdeenshire

We had loads of boys this year so will have spare. They are Gotland x Shetland so mid sized.
Our holding has Anglo Nubian and British Toggenburg goats, Gotland sheep, Franconian Geese, Blue Swedish ducks, a whole load of mongrel hens and two semi-feral children.

Hi, We have a number of Suffolk x Wiltshire Horn Lambs available.  First time we have done this cross and they would appear to be a great shaped carcass. Very pleased with them.

We have both this years and last years lambs available, a choice of Hebrideans or Balwen Welsh Mountains.
Both slower growing, so excellent flavour. Drop me a PM if you are interested.

I know lambs are thin on the ground but resorting to eating labs is just plain wrong !!!
