Bless her, she was maybe just letting you know she is getting ready and wanted a cosy place and feeding up!
Good luck

When you said she was panting  did you mean you could see her tummy moving fast?  That will be the kittens moving about :D  My cats always have 5 or 6 kittens - one even had 7, but the usual number we get is 5.

whatever are you going to do with the kittens?!!!!

yes her tummy was moving, I'm  guessing 3 or 4 but what ever comes come,

in answer to Sabrina@s question, i am homing to keep at least one kitten, and the others will be given away, or sold very cheaply, when they are old enough, i('ll sort that sort of things out once they are born)

We have a lot of farm cats here Cameron, and I have had a lot of cats having kittens.  Some of the mother cats have the most enormous tummies, sticking out at both sides, and they struggle to walk far!!!  Some of my cats have the kittens, and then want to take them off and hide them, so make sure you watch the mum carefully.

Can't be long until the kittens arrive now - we are all waiting to hear about them!!

Brilliant news.  Mum will be fine - just feed her, give her water and she'll be fine.

Glad to hear that they have arrived at last.
I saw in my local paper that kittens around here are going for £50 each - that would help with the cat food.
Looking forward to the pics.
