Just bought a 3 month old billy goat not castrated he is destined for the freezer but what egg shall I take him before he gets the billy taint? Or shall I get the vet to castrate

Get the vet to do him. Complete billies are trouble and smelly! I take my wether-goats around 8 months.

We sent some boer bucks aged 11 months with no problems - but would tend to do less in future - entires grow better - we aim for 40kg live weight.
