Well after mmy last post regarding fox attack and the loss of the majority of our hens i have the pleasure in reporting that one of out Buff Orpingtons has gone broody today .... bless her she is only young less than 12 months old and only recently come on to lay. Fortunately our Buffs are housed separately to the hybrid hens and didnt suffer their fate.

So whilst we lost hens to the Fox the YING/YANG is restored ...she currently sits on 6 Buff eggs and 3 from our previous hybrids.... as well as the 9 in the incubator.

Fingers crossed for 3 weeks time

Great news - she timed that well! Hope they're all fertile.
