Hi everyone!

We are looking forward to setting up a dog-friendly yurt campsite somewhere in the UK (we currently live in Cheshire)...and hope for about 8 acres of land.

We are aiming for it to be eco-friendly with a low carbon footprint, with a vegetable patch and happy hens!

We've joined this site so we can ask the experts out there for any advice and tips you can kindly offer us.

We look forward to 'meeting' you all!

Have to be honest I had no idea what a Yurt was until I googled it . Sounds like a great idea and being dog friendly would be my kind of place for a wee break. I hope it all works out for you you ...very best of luck to you and welcome to the TAS Forum from another new member

:wave:Hello and welcome. You ideas are great.

Due to OH self-employed ( and doesn't do aircraft travel too well )we tend to go camping or cabin weekends. The dogs come with us.
Our biggest want is an outdoor kennel or doggy daycare so that on the odd occasion we can take our boys to exciting places where often dogs are not allowed. Only found one such place and the price was unjustifiable just to have a kennel available ' just in case'. Most days are spent walking or fishing but it would be nice to visit a family attraction for a day and still have dogs for the holiday.

we nearly went down this route with teepees but decided our farm was far too windy.
i did wonder how you stop dogs from peeing on the teepees though? would it not smell on a sunny day?
they do look lovely the way they are furnished inside. good luck.
