I am not sure about the program that you are talking about but I am quiet sure that in the episode of It's not easy being green that they installed a solar powered pump to pump the water into the house.
They also have a web site about the series and the inevitable book.

It is not it’s not being easy being green that I am thinking of. This program was about a couple I think they may have had young children. I would say they were in there late thirties may be early forties. They moved from a town and I do remember there farm was in west Wales.
I think it stared just after river cottage and only ran for one or two series.

I think the programme was called the The Farm but when I look on the internet for it all I get is hits for the stupid channel five show The Farm the one with the B list celebs.

I can’t use a solar powered pump as the pump will need to lift a head of water over 20m

The pump is not that important as I am only play with the idea off taking water out off a stream that runs though my bottom field up to my stables and other field for drinking water for the animals and watering the garden. The important thing is the name of this show as its driving me mad trying to find out what it was called.

Down at the farm?.
I seem to remember they had 1 child and had a baby a few weeks after moving in.
She was always carrying the baby on the front of her even when she was making jams etc.
Am I on the right lines?.

I think we are thinking of the same programme Joe but I am no sure about the article you found I don’t think it’s the same people from the TV show but Thanks for trying.
