I pity the slugs given how many pigeons are here ;)

Do pigeons eat slugs? I don't think the Scottish ones have heard about slugs.. here they only decimate my Brussel sprouts and other cabbagey things... and make an annoying noise all day long..
 
But re your plant - delphinium or pelargonium would be my thoughts.

I would of said geranium or cranesbill. But I think they are the same family. Or I could be talking rubbish again ;D

I think Delphinium, I love them but never ever have grown one without it disapearing into a slug lunch.....they love them when they are little!!

I actually think it's a geranium over delphinium.
