Another whats this?
« on: April 20, 2013, 08:28:06 pm »
Planted last year - left outside and I have no idea what seed it is - but all have survived... so what is it?

Why are your pics always on their sides ettc?  ::)   ;D Maybe there's something I could do at this end to turn it round, but I'm not that clever  :dunce:       I have tried to stand on my head and it looks like either an aconite or a garden geranium of some sort.  But I'm not very sure.  Did it have a yellow flower earlier? (aconite)  If it has a pink or blue flower later on then it's a geranium.   Or not  :-J

It could be an aquilegia or grannys bonnet

I think it's a bit big for a young aquilegia. What about an English geranium?

Just clicked the photo and it isn't on it's side here. Well I will grow them on and we will see what I grew from see last year. For the life of me I can't remember what it was I planted.

Or it might be a delphinium.

I wonder why I see your pics wrong then?  Very strange.  Does everyone else see them the right way up?  It only happens with yours ettc  :bfly:

Picture's on the side here, too.

Geranium was my first thought, too...

Is it on its side when you click into the picture to get it full size?

Yep, its on the side here too.  It looks familiar but not sure what it is. Doesn't quite fit the bill of the suggestions so far to me but if I didn't have to look at it sideways it might help.

Maybe you will just have to wait until it flowers to know what it really is  :sunshine:

My conclusion.... Drum roll....... Delphinium. Seem to remember planting some seeds. Will have to wait and see though.

Certainly looks like delphinium to me. Watch out for slugs!
