cheap books
« on: June 17, 2009, 04:45:52 pm »
I just discovered the new River Cottage Handbook No.4 on Veg for £ 3.99 instead of £14.99 through the book People (written by the head gardener, not HF-W)

http://www.thebookpeople.co.uk

they also have Carol Klein's cook your own veg and grow your own drugs (as seen on tv) at great prices

thebookpeople is brilliant.  Every few months we get a catalogue through the post, but I've never had a look at their website as I'd still manage to spend a fortune even though the books are cheap.  Books are like sweets for me - I can never get enough!!

Same here, Miri - I miserably failed my New Year's resolution of not buying any more books until the stacks in front of the actual shelves have disappeared - my excuse: the Victorian Farm and Grow your own drugs are reference books not silly novels, lol. and they were cheap from the BP, just couldn't do without them! :&>
