Triple bird roast...
« on: December 10, 2012, 08:51:18 pm »
We have been given a brace of pheasant, mallard and teal... :excited:  would these three suit a triple game roast?  I've never had teal so opinions welcomed.

I just wonder if it could be a bit too rich and would the teal be tough if they have done a lot of flying? I remember being given a brace of duck one year by my brother and we were all excited when we sat down to eat them, but they were as tough as old boots.
Slow cooking could rectify that though I suppose and would allow you to drain any fat. If they've all been shot, then you also have that lovely party game, hunt the pellet!
