As the title suggests - how do you prepare your bucks and does for the forthcoming mating season??

Don't have males, so no reply for those ones.
I make sure my girls are on the slim side when going to be mated (easy if they are still milked, a bit more difficult with goatlings), and mine get a mineral drench (adam henson) a few weeks before. Maintain the slim condition until 8 weeks before kidding, especially with goatlings and dry goats (only very little concentrateand mainly hay).
I also sponge all my females at dfiferent times though, so that I can plan matings and kiddings a bit more accurately.

When my girl is in season, she even eyes up the local tomcats.   :roflanim:   The male she went to didn't need ANY Preparation.  It was lust at first site.   ;D

We don't do a lot to prepare the boys, but make sure they are not too overweight, as you don't want their weigh hurting the females when they are mounting them. Also, make sure their feet are in good condition, and well trimmed. Particularly the back feet, as they take all weight in the mating process.
