Hi All
Me and the wife will soon be moving to Scotland (fingers crossed). The thing is we have 6 chucks the wife is very fond of them in fact they have names. But the move will involve an 8.25hr drive with out stops so what would be the best way to move the chucks.

A large dog cage with water and bedding they should be fine.

Move them at night as Fowlman suggests but then you don't need the water. Least stress for the chickens as to them it's just a windy night. Difficulty is the coop. They have to come out and go in which takes extra time loading and unloading. We have this issue with a move to France so we are doubling up on coops. Loading the new ones for France into the trailer a few days before and then assembling them down there. May even take them first, as it is a 12 hour drive, then the coops have to be assembled whilst the chickens are still asleep in the blacked-out but ventillated van.

Wer on the highlands moved rabbat cat and chickins 6020 miles from paington south west .i move chickins all over a good pen lots of straw and at night is best.
