Feeding

I have always fed my pigs twice a day until I tried feeding once a day with the last batch. I have to say I found no difference with the finished pigs as the ones fed twice a day. The pigs are still visited twice a day to check on there welfare and I know you will say then you might as well feed them while your there. What I would like to know has anyone had problems feeding once and are there any downsides to one feed a day.

Thanks Robert I am seriously thinking of going down this route as I have been told this by others. I think the main priority is at least two visits for welfare reasons.

when you think on it it is quite a sensible idea
in the wild if they come across a good source of food they will gorge then sleep   and it is when they are resting that they develop the muscle        only give them half they will not feel full so are on the rake to supplement there diet      the commercial guys feed ad-lib to try to copy in the wild   or at least that is my thinking on it :farmer:
