vacuum sealer
« on: January 21, 2012, 09:00:57 am »
I have a vacuum sealer it's only just over a year old. It has stopped vacuuming all the air out, it dose a bit then gives up like it can't be bothered. It is sealing fine. Any Ideas? Or do I need to stop being tight and just get a new one.

Thanks for that, but already do the holding the top down. Got to the stage I'm almost doing a hand stand, with putting so much weight on it. and it still isn't playing nice ;D. Think I'm going to have to get a new one.

My first one never worked properly so I returned it. I've now got a cheapie (from Lidls) and it works surprisingly well.

I think once they start to play up it's bin time.

Weshenfelder has good ones, I have had my one for 4 years now and still works perfect.. It is quite pricey at around £120.00

are you using the right bags ? for chamber machines you use normal bags  and for the ones where the bags are outside the machines you need ribbed or embossed bags

Could be bags or the pressure settings, if yours has them, you might need to fiddle a bit. If it is a chamber one, the seal could be gone.

Previous vac pack topic. We opted for the bags of freshness machine. Hopefully the link will work :fc:
