I hand knit everything and yes I can do childrens sizes I just need to know the size around the hand and length required. I have just finished a lovely pair of royal blue wristwarmers for a 10 year old horse fanatic

I would go for a size 10mm and knit them together depending on the width of scarf I would try 15-20 sticthes.

This cowl is knit with brown and beige chunky on size 12mm

Thanks v much - my wool is electric blue and a glittery purple/blue/green fluffy type - sounds odd but I hope it will look ok - didnt cost anything so nothing to lose

You can always pull it out if it doesn't. It shouls take approx 200grams 2x 100grams to make a decent size scarf. If ou want to do a cowl then it will be about 30-40 stitches (as it is shorter but wider) Knit it in the straight then join then ends so you have a nice circle

Just to let everyone know I am doing an artisans fair next saturday (3rd December) and all stock will be going with me. If you fancy anything please PM me and I'll put it to oneside or alternatively I can take custom orders but must have them before friday so I can make them and post before xmas
