New to the forum, and looking for a man !!
« on: November 17, 2011, 09:50:14 am »
Hi everyone,

We've just signed up to the forum and posted in the Introductions section.

We are looking for loan of a boar to service  our two Saddleback gilts, in the Lancashire area.
We are able to collect, house and feed him for a month or so and will happily pay the going rate/supply weaners. We would prefer a Saddleback or GOS and could collect any time in December.

Please let me know if anyone can help out or suggest where to look.

Thanks, Martin.

Check the saddleback website www.saddlebacks.org.uk or the GOS website www.oldspots.org.uk where there is a list of boars for hire by area.

Haha, I knew I'd see jaykay here

Hopefully you will find a boar - but just in case, thought I'd mention that I used Deerpark's Saddleback (by AI) and can vouch for his offspring!

Thanks for everyone's replies, looks like we have found a boar locally via the sabblebacks.org website. We are planning to go and see him next weekend  :pig:

I'll keep everyone up to date with how we get on.

Cheers, Martin.
