Wind power- data loggers

Anybody on here put up a wind turbine? I'm looking into gathering some wind data using a logger, but not sure how much to spend on this piece of kit. There are some 'weather station' type devices at under £100, and other more professional looking kits at £200+.
If anybody on here has hands-on experience of logging wind data that would be really interesting.

Ta!

I've not yet put up a WT (my site is not optimal) so I can't answer your question, but I suggest you try the navitron forum (sorry dan) http://www.navitron.org.uk/forum/  as a goodsource of UK based info.
