undigested food in poo
« on: June 12, 2011, 08:27:25 pm »
Am I doing something wrong?  Am I using the wrong feed?

Seems to be a lot of grain coming through in the pigs poo.  Seems such a waste!

We use a mash from a local feed mill they call it "pig grower".

Pigs don't process a lot of whole grains well. The husks are too tough. That's why when you buy barley, it's been crushed. Same as us - at the risk of being gross, check next time you eat sweetcorn!
