Rosemary - my first egg from silkie

Got our first eggs this week, we new something was up as Snowdrop kept going in the coop during the day and making loads of noise.  We have had one everyday this week. Nice small size. My daughter has told the neighbourhood and the smile on her face as she collected her first egg was great.  Hopefully the other four hens will follow shortly.  They have not been liking this wet weather and the garden looks a state.  Role on the summer.

Ps the black rocks (the rock chicks) are doing well and guard the other hens, they are so much brighter than the silkies.  I've had to clip their wings though as found next door one day.  The silkies prefer the ground and dont venture far.
