Bob The Silkie Has Laid an Egg!

Part of my plan to produce meat birds is to use Silkie broodies, with this in mind I incubated 6 eggs from ebay last September, 3 hatched :), one chick had a dodgy leg and had to be culled :(, so two made it out of the brooder. One disappeared in the night  :((the tom cat has  shouldered the blame!) so then there was one. We've always been unsure about Bob's sex ;), but today at exactly 23 weeks old Bob laid an egg :). I love it when a plan comes together! ;D

That reminded me of the Bob character in Blackadder that was a woman dressed as a man.  :D

Ah yes!

When asked if he was really a man, she replied "oh yes Sir, fart in bed and everything Sir"
